  • This two week unique program offers you a complete discovery of Nepal from the lowland Terai to the Annapurna and Everest: the two mountains that made the fame of Nepal and are still the most visited areas for trekking. Trekking days are short and accommodation has been given top priority by selecting the best ones in all areas.

    Upon arrival in Kathmandu you will be transferred by drive to Gokarna Forest Resort, a paradisiacal place far away from bustling Kathmandu. On next day you will reach Chitwan by drive and enjoy tracking unicorn rhinoceros and Royal Bengal tiger on elephant back. After 2 nights here you will reach Pokhara by drive and walk alongside the beautiful and serene Phewa lake towered by the majestic Annapurna range. On next day after a short drive start to walk through typical villages amidst sub-tropical vegetation. At the end of the short trek you will fly back to Kathmandu and on the next day by another flight you will reach the Sherpa land for completely different scenery: different ethnic groups, different dress and different environment. At the end of each day you will enjoy resting in Yeti Mountain Home, sipping tea or coffee by the fire with snow capped peaks towering the scenery. Before departure one day visit of very rich cultural places in the Kathmandu Valley will make your program complete.

    Day 01:Arrival at Kathmandu airport and transfer to Gokarna Resort by private vehicle.
    Upon your arrival after customs and immigration formalities our officer will welcome you at the airport exit with a garland of flowers and by a short drive will take you to your hotel. Upon arrival in hotel you will be offered a welcome drink and our officer will help you in checking in and brief you about your program. Gokarna Forest Resort is located inside the serene temperate Gokarna Forest, the former private Royal hunting grounds of the Kings of Nepal. A winding road climbs leads through the forest up to the main complex, comprising a mix of subtly majestic Malla period architecture, Rana period lodges, and sanctuaries harmoniously blending with nature. Further on exotic Forest View cottage rooms are set beside a century old restored Hunter’s lodge. A quiet peaceful haven set between ancient towering trees with glimpses of the second fairway in the valley below make the perfect getaway for a few days of golf, relaxation and rejuvenation at the Spa, enchanting forest walks, and time close to nature.

    Day 02 Drive : Kathmandu- Chitwan (5 hrs drive)
    After early breakfast, we transfer by vehicle to the Royal Chitwan National Park. On arrival at the park, we are transferred to the Jungle lodge by canoe and four-wheel drive vehicle. On arrival at lodge, we will receive a briefing prior to an afternoon safari or nature walk. Established in the early 60s in the lush sub-tropical jungles of the Terai of Nepal for wildlife enthusiasts, Tiger Tops Jungle Lodge is the pioneer wildlife safari lodge of Nepal and Asia . Tiger Tops is located in the heart of Nepal ’s premier Chitwan National Park ; a world heritage site and provides sensible comfort and skilled staff to ensure the finest wildlife safaris in Asia today .     Day 03 Chitwan National Park (500 ft / 150 m)
    Early in the morning your nature guide will take you for a jungle walk with bird watching, meeting some wild animals on the tour, because you are in their environment. In daytime you will have canoe ride looking for the gharial crocodile specie and after that enjoy elephant bathing. In the afternoon, on elephant back you will track the one-horned rhinoceros and the royal Bengal tiger. Overnight Tiger Tops Jungle Lodge (B, L, D)

    Day 04 Drive to Pokhara (5hrs drive)
    After some last elephant ride in the morning we leave that wonderful place for driving to Pokhara, a small city nestled in the lap of the majestic Annapurna Range reflected in the Phewa lake. After enjoying lunch in Varahi hotel, it’s time to relax while boating on the lake in order to get prepared for next day walk. Overnight in Varahi Hotel..

    Day 05 Drive to Lumle, and trek to Majgaon (1400m)
    Ker & Downey staff will drive you to Lumle, about 30 km away from Pokhara and starting point of the trek. Leaving the road, you can start walking on a level trail crossing Gurung village of Lumle at 1585m. The trail follows the flagstone-paved main street. Beyond Lumle, the trail rounds a bend and descends to Chandrakot, which is perched on the end of a ridge at 1550m. The views of Annapurna South and Machapuchare are excellent from this point. From there the trail goes to Majgaun. There will be a talk at a local house half an hour from the lodge to Tanchok, now made into a museum. The contents of the house illustrate how the local people live, together with the tools and implements of day to day traditional village life. Overnight in Gurung Lodge(B L D).

    Day 06 Trek > Dhampus (1650m)
    After a spectacular sunrise over the Annapurna South and Fishtail you enjoy a delicious breakfast. Then the trail climbs up to a short pass at about 2000m, going through forests of oaks and rhododendrons. Beyond the pass the trail descends to Dhampus, a large Gurung village strung out along a ridge. From the ridge you are rewarded with great views of the Annapurna Range.     Day 07 Trek > Phedi (1080m) , drive to Pokhara.
    Leaving Dhampus the trail drops on a staircase through forested area and reaches a small plateau with nice terraced fields. From that point, the path drops again till the road down. After half an hour drive you will reach Pokhara Lakeside for a lunch on the lake side. According to flight schedule you might have time to enjoy boating on the calm lake with majestic Annapurna range towering. Fly to Kathmandu According to the flight schedule you will be driven to the airport about 1,5 hrs before the departure time. At Kathmandu you will be welcome at the airport exit by our staff. After a short transfer to Gokarna Resort you will enjoy relaxing and walking around in the forest. Dinner included.

    Day 08 Flight Kathmandu – Lukla (2800m).
    Trek to Monjo (2800m). 4h

    After a 40mn morning Twin Otter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, the gate of Khumbu. We meet our local staff at the airport and walk till the end of the village. The trail goes down steeply to cross a river with Kusum Kangaru at the back. The path climbs a bit, contours around a ridge to Ghat on the bank of the Dudh Kosi. Then it makes some ups and downs before reaching Phakding. The trail continues north of the Dudh Kosi valley, climbing through fields to Benkar with its huge mani stone in the centre of the trail. Then the trail climbs up through magnificent forests of rhododendron, magnolia and giant firs. Soon after Taktok, Thamserku Peak is on sight and further you reach Monjo. Overnight in Yeti Mountain Home in Monjo.

    Day 09 Monjo – Namche Bazar (3440m). 5h
    The trail enters the Sagarmatha National Park at Jorsale. After crossing on a suspension bridge high over the Dudh kosi and Bhote Kosi confluence the trail makes a long climb till a ridge where there are first views of Everest, Nuptse and Lhotse. The trail climbs steadily through forest to Namche, a town lying in a natural amphitheater protected from the weather and blessed with a major natural spring. Overnight in Yeti Mountain Home Namche.

    Day 10 Namche – Lukla (2800m)7h
    We retrace our steps back to Phakding. On the same way we walked at the beginning we descend slowly to Ghat, cross the river enjoying views of Kusum Kangguru then we remember the descent of our first day trekking, but now it becomes an ascent till Lukla, end of this beautiful walk through khumbu area and we enjoy a last comfortable stay at YMH Lukla.

    Day 11 Flight Lukla – Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
    Early flight back to Kathmandu by Twin Otter and transfer toGokarna Forest Resort

    Day 12 Kathmandu valley sightseeing.
    Today is dedicated to the visit of the extremely rich valley with the medieval city of Bhaktapur -12km east of Kathmandu, the holiest Hindu temple of Pashupatinath alongside the Bagmati river, sacred place for cremations. Then after a last drive you will be taken to Boudhanath for a taste of Buddhism, circumambulating the huge stupa of Bodhnath along with the fervent devotees.

    Day 13 Transfer to airport for return flight.
    Upon your international flight time, we’ll transfer you to the international airport about 3 hrs before your flight departure.
