  • This program has been specially designed for those who want to experience Nepal at its best and is a well designed combination of Kathmandu valley sightseeing, short trek in comfort to enjoying the spectacular views without having to sacrifice the luxury in Annapurna region, the most visited one by the trekkers because this massif is so close to Pokhara city. After trekking you will return to Pokhara and relax before embarking for a new adventure: rafting on the Seti river on your way to Chitwan wildlife park. On elephant back you will track the one-horned rhinoceros and the royal Bengal tiger. By plane you will return to Gokarna Resort in Kathmandu to relax and enjoy last shopping before flying back home.

    Day 01 : Arrival at Kathmandu airport and transfer to Gokarna Resort by private vehicle
    Upon your arrival after customs and immigration formalities our officer will welcome you at the airport exit with a garland of flowers and by a short drive will take you to your hotel. Upon arrival in hotel you will be offered a welcome drink and our officer will help you in checking in and brief you about your program. Gokarna Forest Resort is located inside the serene temperate Gokarna Forest, the former private Royal hunting grounds of the Kings of Nepal. A winding road climbs leads through the forest up to the main complex, comprising a mix of subtly majestic Malla period architecture, Rana period lodges, and sanctuaries harmoniously blending with nature. Further on exotic Forest View cottage rooms are set beside a century old restored Hunter’s lodge. A quiet peaceful haven set between ancient towering trees with glimpses of the second fairway in the valley below make the perfect getaway for a few days of golf, relaxation and rejuvenation at the Spa, enchanting forest walks, and time close to nature.

    Day 02 : Kathmandu valley sightseeing
    Today is dedicated to a visit of the extremely rich valley with the medieval city of Bhaktapur -12km east of Kathmandu, the holiest Hindu temple of Pashupatinath alongside the Bagmati river, sacred place for cremations. Then drive to Boudhanath for a taste of Buddhism, circumambulating the huge stupa of Bodhnath along with the fervent devotees.

    Day 3 : Flight: Kathmandu- Pokhara (25 minutes flight by Jetstream-41)
    After breakfast, we transfer to the airport before 1.5 hours of your flight time for the flight about 25 minutes to Pokhara by Yeti Airlines. This flight follows the Ganesh Himal, Manaslu Massif before entering the Central region where Annapurna massif is towering the city of Pokhara. After your arrival at Pokhara Airport you will be welcome at the airport exit by Ker & Downey Lodge officer and transferred for about 45 mn drive to Lumle, 30 km away from Pokhara and starting point of the trek. Leaving the road, you can start walking on a level trail crossing Gurung village of Lumle at 1585m. The trail follows the flagstone-paved main street. Beyond Lumle, the trail rounds a bend and descends to Chandrakot, which is perched on the end of a ridge at 1550m. The views of Annapurna South and Machapuchare are excellent from this point. From there the trail descends a steep, dusty trail that switchbacks to the Modi Khola. Passing a few houses near the river, the route crosses a suspension bridge. On the far side of the bridge is Birethanti, a large and prosperous town.

    Day 4 : Trek to Majgaon (1450m)
    The trail crosses the Modi Khola on a suspension bridge then makes some ups and downs through terraced fields to reach Majgaun. There will be a talk at a local house half an hour from the lodge to Tanchok, now made into a museum. The contents of the house illustrate how the local people live, together with the tools and implements of day to day traditional village life.

    Day 5 : Trek to Dhampus (1525m) 3h 30
    This morning we start out trekking through the unspoiled village of Patlekhet. Our walk takes us through sub-tropical forests that include tree orchids, rhododendrons and magnolias. Along the way, we will stop at the village of Pothana where many Tibetan traders live and sell their souvenirs. After about 3 ½ hours, we arrive at the Basanta Lodge. From the lodge, there are sweeping views of the entire Annapurna Range. After lunch at the lodge there will be an optional walk through the old village of Dhampus.

    Day 6 : to Phedi (1000m) 1h 30
    After breakfast, we depart along the ridge & descend through the wooded hillside and terraced farmland to the valley floor. Trek time 1 ½ hours. We then transfer by vehicle to Temple Tree Resort & Spa in Pokhara (30 minutes). On the way back to Pokhara, the vehicle can stop on request at the Tibetan refugee camp where you will have time to explore the temple complex. Temple Tree Resort & Spa is a boutique hotel combining western standards with the distinctive architecture and culture of Nepal’s Western Himalayas. Named after the fragrant temple tree plant frangipani found here, we offer a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere, privacy when preferred and attentive service. You can relax from your tiring trekking and walk alongside the lake or do shopping in the several shops near the lake.

    Day 7 : Drive to Bandipur (1000m) 4h drive
    With regret we leave the city of the lakes and we still enjoy the majestic Himalaya Range in the backside. Bandipur is a typical newar trading town situated on a hill at 1000m and offering a superb panorama of the Annapurna Range, Manaslu Range, Ganesh Himal and Langtang. Few tourists are coming around and we will enjoy the peace of the town.

    Day 8 : Bandipur – Seti River Camp
    After breakfast we walk gently down to the Jhapri river. The track goes progressively up through forested area. It is important to carry plenty of drinking water because till Jyamire village it’s impossible to refill our water bottles. Still going up we reach Dhamalgaon village with Himalaya Range in the background. To reach the Seti River camp it’s still through forest.

    Day 9 : Rafting on the Seti River
    The morning is spent rafting. There are 5 class 2 rapids. Again, each is no more than 165 ft / 50 meters. The remainder of the trip is a float when you can enjoy the surrounding countryside. Rafting time will be 2 to 3 hours depending on water levels. On completion of the rafting at Gaighat, we transfer by vehicle to the Royal Chitwan National Park. On arrival at lodge, we will receive a briefing prior to an afternoon safari or nature walk.

    Day 10 : Chitwan National Park (500 ft / 150 m)
    Early in the morning your nature guide will take you for a jungle walk with bird watching, meeting some wild animals on the tour, because you are in their environment. In daytime you will have canoe ride looking for the gharial crocodile specie and after that enjoy elephant bathing. In the afternoon, on elephant back you will track the one-horned rhinoceros and the royal Bengal tiger.

    Day 11 : Fly to Kathmandu
    Today you might have another elephant back ride or another jungle walk according to the lodge program fixed the day before. Then after breakfast you will be taken by vehicle to Meghauly airport about one and half hour before your scheduled departure time. By Twin Otter you will be flying over the lowland of Terai, then over the hills surrounding the Kathmandu Valley. At airport exit our officer will welcome you and take you for a short drive to Gokarna Resort. Dinner included.

    Day 12 : Free day in Kathmandu
    Today is fully free for relaxing and souvenirs shopping. Dinner included in Gokarna Resort.

    Day 13 : Departure from Kathmandu
    Upon your international flight time, we will transfer you to the airport 3hrs before your departure time.
