From Kathmandu by a 45 minute Twin Otter flight with the mighty Himalaya in the backdrop we reach the busy Lukla airport. From that point we walk easily to Phakding and enjoy the warm paneling and the muffled atmosphere of our first Yeti Mountain Home. The second day leads to Namche Bazar, the capital of Sherpa land in its amphitheater like bowl location. High over the village, the second YMH resort is very close to the first Everest view point. The third resort is located at Thame, in a valley very much less frequented by trekkers and famous for its monastery as well as for its Everest’s summitters. From Thame we trek back to Namche and enjoy the comfort of YMH again. The next stay will take us to Tashinga Everest Summit Lodge. From there our trail continues to climb up to Pangboche at Everest Summit Lodge. In order to well acclimatize a day excursion takes us higher to Dingboche and back. The best of the program is for the next day reaching Ama Dablam base camp and hiking back to Pangboche. Then we retrace our steps back to Namche, Phakding and Lukla.

Day 01 : Arrival at Kathmandu airport and transfer to Gokarna Resort by private vehicle.

Gokarna Forest Resort is located inside the serene temperate Gokarna Forest, the former private Royal hunting grounds of the Kings of Nepal. A winding road climbs leads through the forest up to the main complex, comprising a mix of subtly majestic Malla period architecture, Rana period lodges, and sanctuaries harmoniously blending with nature. Further on exotic Forest View cottage rooms are set beside a century old restored Hunter’s lodge. The view from this spot is rightly deemed to be one of the most magnificent in the world. Kwongde, Tawache, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Kangtega and Thamserku provide an inspiring panorama of Himalayan giants. Then it’s a short, steep descent to Devuche through a forest of birches, conifers and rhododendrons.
